KPI Solutions
Warehouse automation and systems integration
The situation
For about thirty years, LT Apparel ran a small distribution center in Dayton, New Jersey. The business outgrew it. Everything was manual, printing labels, applying them by hand, scrambling to keep up whenever volume spiked.
They needed to support at least 125,000 units per day during peak season. They couldn't get there.
KPI Solutions spent years redesigning that operation. The results speak for themselves: LT Apparel went from picking 30,000 units a day to 150,000 during peak. Units per labor hour more than tripled in a single year. Chargebacks dropped by roughly 80%. They went from over 600 associates fulfilling orders to just under 200.
The problem
KPI had made case study videos before. Plenty of them.
What they hadn't found was one their whole audience could actually follow. Technical companies talk like technical companies, and every video ends up packed with industry language that makes sense to people already in the industry and loses everyone else. That's a problem when the people most likely to refer you are the ones newest to the space.
What we did differently
One shoot day on location at LT Apparel. Real interviews with the people who lived the project. No script.
The difference was in the questions. We asked things like "how would you explain this to a fifth grader" and "how would you describe this to someone at a barbecue." That one shift changed everything. What came out was a conversation, not a presentation.
The finished video has no jargon in it. Anyone can watch it and understand exactly what KPI did and why it mattered, whether they've been in warehouse automation twenty years or twenty minutes.
What happened
KPI played the video at their national trade show booth on repeat. Standing ovation. People asked to see it again on the spot.
They sent it to their full email list, roughly 35,000 contacts.
And they came back. Three projects together now.
"You did an outstanding job on it and really understood how to bring across our strengths."
